St Mary’s School Association (PTA)

Welcome to the PTA known as St Mary’s School Association

All parents, guardians with a child at the school and all staff are members of the St Mary’s School Association.

We raise funds for the school for items that the School budget cannot cover. Any item we purchase for the school benefits all year groups.

Our Events are essentially designed to make sure everyone has a good time and the children enjoy themselves.

We operate a 'class rep' system. This is a simple idea, whereby one or two parents, represent their year group. Their help is needed to promote forthcoming events to other year group parents and to seek additional assistance for events such as helpers at the school disco or stallholders for the summer fair.

Without Class Reps and all the rest of the volunteers it isn’t possible to run the association so please get involved.

We welcome your support.

Fundraising Update July 2021

Total Raised so far this year £6K

We do not have the exact figures for the summer fundraising at present. The final yearly

accounts will be ready for August for the Charity Commission report and presented at the AGM.

The biggest giggle we had this year was on break the rules day when the word squash was accidentally substituted for alcohol!

It has been an extremely difficult fundraising year as we have not been allowed to run our normal events.   However we have been very much humbled by the generosity of the parents who no doubt are facing difficult financial times as well.  Also the perseverance of the children who have missed out on not only schooling but social events we plan such as Christmas, Summer Fairs and School discos.  We were impressed by young Eva who raised £170 for Parkinson’s UK with her headband sale.  The children’s courage and determination should inspire us all.
