ST. MARY'S C of E PRIMARY SCHOOL

East Grinstead, West Sussex

Class 6

Thank you, Imogen, for bringing in a genuine, and very precious to your family, WW2 flying jacket for us to try on

Our visit to the East Grinstead Town Museum, where we learned all about the part played by our town in WW2. We found out about the bombing of the Whitehall Cinema in July 1943, and the incredible contribution of Sir Archibald McIndoe and the Queen Victoria Hospital. We learned why East Grinstead was called 'The Town That Did Not Stare'.Thank you, Mrs Bass, for arranging to be there as a volunteer for the day of our visit.

We had a great First Aid lesson, learning how to keep ourselves and others safe in an emergency
