We have all engaged in a wide variety of interventions to develop our attention and listening skills.
We have been working really hard on our fine and gross motor skills to make sure we have strong hands and muscles to help with our writing and drawing.
We have been developing our number knowledge this half term by discovering one more and one less within ten which has included lots of using number lines, ordering numbers and subitising numbers.
We have been looking at circles, triangles, squares and rectangles this term. We have used our knowledge to sort the shapes, build rockets and make mosaic animals.
We have now learnt all of our single sounds and some special friends too. Over the past two weeks, we have been using this knowledge to hear and identify the initial sound is words. Some of us have tried to hear each sound in CVC words to form a whole word.
Class R are very grateful to their buddies for helping them with their first exploration of the new trim trail!

We really appreciate our buddies helping us with making a poppy wreath for the church service.
We have loved our potions lab this week, as well as designing fireworks in the sand and building our own bonfires.
We have been learning about the numbers one, two and three.
A lovely first day back! Some of us found somewhere cosy to chill out and read and others opted for arts, building and crafts. But all of us were happy to see our friends!

We made our numbers using numicon and chain links and then compared the length of them to see which was the bigger number
Class R loved the gym equipment!
This week, we have been matching, pairing and sorting a variety of objects.

Our first PE lesson included exploring the big children's playground, gym equipment and trim trail.
Friday 23rd September - Welcome to St Mary's church service led by Father Adam and included our lovely Year 6 buddies.
The baby clinic has been very busy on its first day of being open!
This week, we have learnt about our body including body parts, our five senses and how to stay healthy.
Lots of learning has taken place in our first few weeks at school!
