Wakehurst Place
On Tuesday 27th June, Class 3 and 4 went to Wakehurst Place as part of our Geography and Science curriculum. We had an exciting workshop about rainforests, we then went on a trail around the gardens to learn all about the plants and how they grow and survive. Finally, we had a fantastic art workshop where we created some ephemeral art using the nature all around us. We had a great day.
Chocolate Rocks in Science!
Gymnastics
We have been lucky enough this term to have gymnastics coaches come into school to teach us gymnastics. We have absolutely loved it and have learnt so much!
On Tuesday 7th February, we joined the rest of the country with celebrating Safer Internet Day 2023. We had a special live lesson with BBC Teach. We were very excited to see our class displayed on their website. During the day we got involved in lots of different activities and had some great discussions about how we can be safe when using the internet.
History- Stonehenge
To finish our block of work on the Stone Age we recreated Stonehenge this afternoon using biscuits! The children loved making it and learnt all about Stonehenge whilst doing it. They enjoyed eating the biscuits afterwards!!
History
To finish our unit of work on the Stone Age, we have had a virtual field trip to Novium Museum in Chichester. Today, we learnt all about flint knapping with Boxgrove Man and created our own using soap!
Science
Our Science unit this term is Animals Including Humans. As part of this we have been learning about skeletons. Here are the skeletons we made out of natural resources outside. It was great fun!
