The Choir have been busy this term working towards Christmas performances. Well done children for your hard work, enthusiasm and super singing!
Our singing at Standen turned out to be a very big surprise! We didn't expect to be singing in the snow! Well done to all the children for performing in such exciting conditions. Our journeys home proved to be pretty eventful too!!
St Mary's School Choir are extremely fortunate to have a connection with the East Grinstead Choral Society and regularly join with them to sing at their concerts. This an amazing experience for the children and we are really grateful for these opportunities.
Friday 24th January
We start this term with 41 members of the Choir so it is brilliant to have so many keen singers! We have started learning a couple of songs today and plan on building up quite a repertoire during the term. Our new songs this week are Be Thou My Vision and Paint Me a Rainbow, which was written by my Father (originally back in the 1970's but has been reworded recently and edited for children to sing). Also, Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
Well done Choir for your super singing of 'It's Harvest' in our Harvest service today! After only two choir practices, I was really impressed.
